Citrous: Of or relating to the genus Citrus, OR delightfully tangy art show that combines the works of collagist and printmaker Mel Kolstad, and ceramic artist Kathy Boettcher.
The first invitational show of the Nicholas Quarry Micro Gallery brings together two artists whose obvious artistic joy wonderfully complement each other. Kolstad’s minute dry point prints speak to her affinity for all things tiny, and delightfully engage the viewer in unexpected ways. For this show, Boettcher worked her delightful style in a tiny scale so as to fit in the dollhouse galleries, but her pieces appear monumental, enhancing her wonderful use of color and texture.
